What is beef shank?

Beef Shank is a cross-section of the legs of a cow. It is just above the knee and is full of tough connective tissue and muscles.

Main Ingredients That You Will Need

Season and coat your beef shanks with flour, salt, and pepper.

Cook aromatics and saute until they are fragrant and softened.

Add beef shanks, vegetables, red wine, and other ingredients to the pot. Cover and slow cook for 4 hours

Add in sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and roux to thicken the sauce at the end.
